When Daisy moved from China to Melbourne in 2015, she believed success meant speaking better English, gaining more Australian experience, achieving more and working harder.
Over time, she built many of the credentials she once thought would make the difference: strong academic results, Australian industry experience, leadership roles and thousands of professional connections. Yet she discovered that achievement, visibility and communication alone did not automatically create trust, belonging or meaningful opportunity.
That contradiction changed the way she thought about professional success, and sparked a deeper question that would shape her work: What actually helps people become understood, trusted, remembered and connected across differences?
In 2022, Daisy created and authored Multilingual Connectors, first as a framework for understanding how mindset, communication and context shape the way people connect across cultures, and later as a broader body of work spanning her book, keynotes, workshops, mentoring and educational programs.
At the heart of Multilingual Connectors is Daisy's original Mindset–Language–Context (MLC) Framework. Developed from her own experiences and later applied across international speaking, leadership development and career mentoring, the framework reflects a simple idea: meaningful connection and opportunities is rarely created by communication skills alone.
Daisy created and applied this framework extensively after recognising that communication, confidence, networking and professional development are often treated as separate problems,when in reality they are deeply interconnected.
